Workshops and Lecture Series

 


    The City of Encinitas is updating its general plan, a key document that embodies our city's future growth and development policy.  Community workshops and an educational lecture series have been planned to receive public input throughout the visioning process and to inform the community about relevant issues.

                               
 Educational Lecture Series 
 These sessions are held the first Monday of every monthat the Encinitas Library, 6:30 - 8 pm.

March 1- Our Region, Our Future.  Discussion on Growth
April 5-  Climate Change.   Energy efficiency and resource conservation strategies.
May3-  Smart Growth and Sustainable Design.   Finding ways to ensure community vitality
June 7 - Transportation.  Planning for the movement of people.
July 12- Alternative Transportation.  Better bicycling, walking and public transit options.
Aug. 2- Public Health.  Growing healthy communties.
